i'm guessing this was the only one like it...

Fun Fair (rifle) Gun

This is what Calvin requested for his first face painting experience. In his words, "a wy-ful gun", translated "rifle gun". Yes, we know it's not actually a rifle, but for some reason he thinks all guns are rifles.

This face painting occurred Saturday night when Sean-the-awesome-dad took the two older kidlets to the Fun Fair that our church had. I'm pretty impressed that one of my small group girls was able to paint such a nice gun with no previous experience (hi Bethany!). Here is Maggie's more traditional face painting choice, executed with glittery excellence by Kimmy...

Speaking of actual rifles, since I still haven't posted pictures from Maggie's birthday, you haven't been entertained by this one of Cal at her party.

Hey, how else is a future man supposed to enjoy a tea party?

What is this constant Higgins prejudice against men and tea (or tea parties)? I have high hopes that my little man will walk in his father's shoes of being a dedicated tea drinker and quite open to frequenting teahouses and attending tea parties while still being a manly man. If memory serves correct, the Mad Hatter, March Hare and Dormouse were all males. And they all enjoyed a good cup of tea! -Erica

Agreed, but I also see no reason to not incorporate rifles/swords (sword-rifles?) into the tea party. I believe the Mad Hatter would approve.

Oh Mo...your kiddos are quite precious and I will never tire of viewing photos of them with witty comments from there mama! Also as a reply to your comment left on our first post...Oh well please please come to Florida and see us!! We love visitors and would so be excited if you guys ever came down! However, your life is probably more than crazy busy as you now have 3 "outside" children and husband and family and ministry, etc...I have to say that you are the reason I even know about blogspot, so this blog would not have been created if not for Mrs. Mo Higgins!

Hey is that your back yard? I can't wait to see party pictures! I have no problem with the gun, even at a tea party.
